RIG RIOT / FIELD NOTE
Objectives and Raid Progression
Use objectives as the requirement that opens the next step of a raid.
Objectives are the run's priority system. They tell you what action opens the next step, and they matter because difficulty keeps rising while you are deciding where to go.
Objective-first route
- Read the active objective before leaving the current area.
- Identify the required action, not just the destination.
- Clear only the enemies or space needed to complete it safely.
- Confirm the state change before exploring further.
- Take the upgrade or route that prepares for the next pressure spike.
If you repeatedly lose after 10-15 minutes, the issue may be objective speed, not only weapon strength. Use Difficulty Scaling with this page.
What to prioritize
| Situation | Priority |
|---|---|
| Objective marker is clear | Complete it before farming side fights |
| Enemies block the objective path | Clear the blockers, then move |
| Build damage falls behind | Seek upgrades that improve kill speed or sustain |
| Health is low | Stabilize with healing or safer route choices |
| Targeting breaks down | Test lock-on/manual aim before blaming the objective |
July update context
The official July 14 demo update added new Objectives together with an Arena, Bipeds, a Bandit enemy, weapon customization and saved weapon configurations. That means older objective advice may describe a narrower version of the demo.
How to document a real objective
For each current objective, record the exact wording, route location, required action, completion signal, common failure and the build pressure it creates. That structure is more useful than a vague instruction to keep moving.
Frequently asked questions
Should I clear every enemy before completing an objective?
No. Clear what blocks the objective or threatens the route. Over-clearing can let difficulty scaling catch the build.
What if the next step does not open?
Return to the last confirmed state. Check whether an objective counter changed, an interaction completed, a required enemy remains or the route indicator moved.
What other pages help with objectives?
Use Stats for build constraints, Targeting for weapon reliability and How to Heal when survival, not routing, is the blocker.
